Be Your Own Oracle

It may be helpful and even life-changing to seek out guidance from intuitives and like-minded life coaches when you first undergo a spiritual awakening. You are likely to have a lot of questions and it’s possible that you haven’t developed a sense of purpose yet. That’s okay. When the student is ready the teacher will appear. I think it can be incredibly helpful to get a nudge in the right direction, especially if you are feeling lost.

After experiencing a dark night of the soul I started on my own spiritual path, but I was filled with uncertainty. I looked towards self-proclaimed spiritual gurus and leaders to learn what I was supposed to do and be. I received some excellent insight from a woman who was the catalyst that changed my life in a myriad of beautiful ways. I also received some very damaging guidance from a lauded woman who projected her personal family issues on to me. If I had listened to her I shudder to think of the consequences- it is deeply unsettling. Nevertheless, I realize that all of the people I met along the way entered my life for a reason and ultimately shaped the person I am. I am grateful for all of them.

Over the course of my spiritual development a curious thing happened… I became comfortable in my own skin for the first time. I finally had confidence. This was something I struggled with my whole life and wanted very badly to achieve. There comes a moment when looking towards the voices and opinions of others no longer serves you.

A message that my guides shared with me is that I am my own oracle. And you are your own oracle. You don’t need to seek out the counsel of gurus or mentors any longer. Everything you need to progress on your path is already within you. Don’t look for external validation, it is unnecessary and even harmful at times because it can sow the seeds of doubt. You don’t need anyone to tell you whether or not you are enough. You are enough; you are a powerful being in your own right. Own that power.

You know intuitively what is best for you and your personal development. At any time you can close your eyes, get quiet, and ask anything…

“What should I do next?”

Or

“What do I need right now?”

Even…

“What is my purpose?”

That is the exact method I used to find my own purpose, actually.

You already have the answers- trust yourself and your guides!

Now, I’m not saying that it isn’t worthwhile to seek out an intuitive reading if you are just starting out or if you are truly stuck in a rut and have exhausted your resources. Just don’t rely on the wisdom of others to tell you what is best for you forever. Because at the end of the day, you are your own oracle.
