New year, new you

One of my favorite new year’s rituals is a goal setting session. January is the perfect time to go within and get clear on your vision for the year ahead. Capricorn season is all about dreaming big, getting serious about what you want and laying a strong foundation that will get you there.

Are you all in? Goals are about honoring your commitments to yourself, showing up every day and remembering your ‘why.’

With every decision, ask yourself… will this help me achieve my goal more quickly?

If your goal is to save money and those expensive new leggings from Lululemon are calling your name, consider: will buying these leggings help me reach my goal faster?

If the answer is no, the decision is no! It’s that easy. Consistency creates mastery.

This isn’t about half-hearted ‘resolutions’ that you don’t *really* intend to keep. I’m talking about lifestyle shifts that will set the tone for your incredible transformation.

So get out your planner and favorite pen and let’s reach new heights in 2021.

Hold the vision

Here’s how…

Align your goals with your purpose and your vision of what you want your life to look like in 10 or 20 years.

Check in and ask yourself- does this support the life that I’m trying to create?

I like to divide up my goals into 5 different categories to honor each area of my life:

✧ health and fitness

✧ business/financial

✧ emotional wellness + personal development

✧ relationship/social

✧ travel, fun, lifestyle

Act as if

After assembling a list of all the things you would like to accomplish and call into your life, break down each goal step by step. Create an action plan for how you’ll get from point A to point B. It might sound counterintuitive, but sometimes it helps to work backwards.

Brainstorm which systems you can implement to support you. For example, set friendly reminders in your planner or calendar, download a time management app, connect with accountability buddies, etc.

Act as if you were the person that already has that million dollar bank account, soulmate relationship or vacation home in Tahiti.

What would they eat for breakfast? What does their evening routine look like? How do they manage their time?

What is the first step you need to take to reach your goal? Follow your intuition. Deep down inside, you already know the answer.

#goalgetter

Planning is an important part of the #goalgetter process, but if you’re serious about making 2021 your best year yet, start taking massive action and you’ll see the results you want in no time. If you want a more detailed approach to goal setting, check out this post.

You can take a peek at my 2021 goals below. They’re influenced by Stefan from Project Life Mastery. I’m sharing them with you to hold myself accountable. I’ll report back at the end of the year and together we can evaluate our progress.
