Hygge is the Danish word for cozy contentment. It’s about embracing pockets of joy to illuminate these darker days and longer nights. Transforming time at home into a kind of magical ritual, free from any distractions. It allows you to slow down and be present in the moment.
I create hygge by….
lighting my favorite candles
putting on my softest sweaters, leggings and festive socks
drinking oat milk lattes and spicy apple cider
snuggling up under my sherpa blanket in front of the fire with a good book
baking cranberry orange scones and ginger cookies
and of course, setting the mood with a playlist that evokes all the fall + winter feels.
This is the kind of playlist that you can throw on while you’re eating dinner under the soft light of the candelabra, walking the dog on a winding path through fallen leaves, wrapping presents or making memories with family. It’s a warm and cozy crowd-pleaser, mostly jazzy with a modern twist.
You can find it on Spotify here. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Let me know what you think in the comments below <3
